so i have been wanting to take teddy to the groomers now that it is spring and since i have been working a lot, I havnt really had time to brush him out and bathe him yet and he is having dry skin and i seen they have some special shampoo for that plus little add ons that u can have them do. since i work at petco i also get a 20% discount so thats always good and it would be pretty cool to have him at work there with me too:) lol the package i was looking at was $28 with the discount and they:brush him out with 3diffent brushes, bathe him with what ever i would like, clip his nails, clean his ears, brush his teeth, and do a blow out to get all the dead hair out. but i already clean his ears, brush his teeth and trim his nails.
my husband wanted to get him the $57 package which includes a message, moisturizer, fragrance, and a lot of other stuff but i cant think of it lol i wouldnt mind spending the extra money to kinda spoil him but i want to know if it really is a waste of time/money. i mean i have people spend about 300 at the groomers but im not going to go that far.
just knowing that its spring time and he will be starting to shed like crazy just makes me a little worried as i am so busy now adays.
if you would like to share what u experienced, purchased, things like that would be great:) i know that i will get great service as i am best friends with the the groomer i booked through
thanks!

I took Baxter to a groomer a couple times, but now I just brush and wash him at home once a week, as he gets pretty flithy at the dog park. Like John said, bath time is a fun bonding time. I really enjoy cleaning his ears, brushing his teeth, and even trimming his fur if his belly fur or his "pants" are getting too long.
The few times we went to a groomer, we'd go to Petco and get the "Furminator package." He always looked really nice and smelled good. I just felt bad leaving him there sitting in a cage to wait to get brushed, washed, etc.
Furminator has since come out with some nice shampoos. I use the Frequent Use Shampoo and their conditioner. That shampoo helps reduce allergens too, which is great because I've got allergies. I'm also a big fan of the conditioner, it really helps get the loose hairs out of the under coat.
My groomer is also a close friend of mine and she has groomed Corky in the past he is sensitive to certain shampoos and she always uses oatmeal shampoo. She also has blown out his coat and it made a world of difference. I love taking him to the groomers, he despises it tho, he isnt a fan of me brushing him either, he doesnt want to sit still I think he has Corgi tasks on his mind, you all know like shredding, or rolling in something or chewing something of mine or stealing my underwear. Busy busy all the time he has no time for grooming.
