this weekend we took teddy down town to get some training in since we are training him to be a therapy dog and because of that he got to ride on the metro bus and got to go into museums in down town DC. he absolutely had a BLAST. when he got out of the car it was go,go,go. he wasnt afraid of the metro at all. in fact he rushed to get on. when we went into the museums he was super happy because everyone flocked to him to give him attention. we spent 2hours in one museum because all the children and even parents loved the fact that we are training him to be a therapy dog and that he was so sweet. it was neat to watch him look at all the things in there. he was mostly interested in all the old planes. he would approach them and tried to smell them lol it was also pretty cool that the people who know or have corgis would go "omg its a corgi! can i take a pic and pet him?" teddy didnt mind at all. he didnt want to leave the museums but we had to get going after awhile. I still almost cant believe that he was there walking around in there with us and how many kids/parents loved him being there. there wasnt one person he didnt like. the pictures i took arent that great because he didnt want his pic taken lol must be sick of it:P even after we left the museum he made a new best friend, a rare breed of dog and they ran for 20min playing chase. i just had to share because i am just so very proud of him. him playing with the other dog never would have been possible 4 1/2 months ago but now he is over his fear and has a confidence, therefore he loves to play with other dogs. i cant wait to make him an official therapy dog as this experience was so rewarding for me,my husband and of course teddy bear :) the end result. a very tired and happy corgi. he was so tired when we go home he didnt even wake up if we left the room which isnt like him at all, hes always gotta be with us lol
That's great. Teddy looks like a happy dog. It always amazes how many people just flock to the corgis when one is around. We always thought Zoe would be a great therapy dog. She loves everybody and has been extremely gentle around small children.
Thank u:) I know its a little late bit with the move I didn't have much internet lol. I bet Zoe would be a great therapy dog. Take her to a class and see how she does
