While shopping at Target recently, I came across something in the dog aisle, that would make clean up time a bit more  pleasant, as pleasant as it can be. Winter time is my least favorite time of year for clean up duty, especially come spring after all the snow has melted.  Every winter I say I am going to hire a service to do that for me.  Well, this year, I came across this neat tool, and I actually am enjoying cleaning up.  I put a bag over the scooper as well, since I figured that is the best way to getting it clean in the middle of winter.

Now, that we own two dogs a tool like this comes in handy.  It comes with bags and you can buy the refill bags for it, but I have been recycling the plastic bags from the grocery store for this, works just as well.

We haven't had alot of snow this winter so keeping the yard clean has been easier than ever this year.

Looks great...fortunately my dogs go far away in the grove so I hardly ever see poop. I have to laugh though because my neice plays a game with her dog's poop. The have a large wooded lot behind her yard and she scoops it and then tries to hit the trees...I can only imagine!

I can't be the only one who has clean up duty, lol

Oh I so need one I am gonna go to Target ASAP lol :) thanks for the tip Natalie

Did you find it?

I have a son, and I am going to use him for the few years he has left at home.  Maybe he will want to go to Target.

Good idea, I really should make my daughters do the clean up, I did as a kid also!!!

We have a similar metal one that we have had forever, but this one looks better. My son will definitely want to go to Target for it, especially if you can just toss the plastic bag straight in the trash, instead of using the poop can. I have no idea why frozen poop is hard to clean up?  (I live in Southern CA).

hmmm, Im doing something wrong I have two daughters and I am the one cleaning up....what was I thinking?

I have one of the one-handed scoopers, but it's broken and I've been putting off getting a new one (right now it's being held together by duct tape and pure luck.)  I'm definitely going to check this Target one out!  It would be so much easier to just scoop it right into a bag instead of having to pick it up, walk to the bag on the ground and then deposit.

I love the fact that you just scoop it into a bag and dispose.

This is great! I never liked the feel of fresh pooh on a gloved/bagged hand.

I agree, and I can't believe it took me 6 years and 2 dogs to finally buy something like this!!!  I love it.  I do wrap the scooper part in plastic wrap so that during the winter months I don't have to drag it through the house to clean it!!  I actually don't mind cleaning up now, its almost, fun, lol.   :P
