Craigslist: Clintonville, WI 9 year old RHT

I just saw this posted on craigslist...kind of breaks my heart to see someone giving their 9 year old dog away for $40. Sounds like a sweet little guy.

Awwwww, he is so beautiful....they should rehome owners like this NOT the dogs! I sure hope someone sees him and will give him a great retirement home! Do you think he is from a breeder as they want a country home? Or some reason????

There are a lot of farms around so maybe he was actually used as a farm dog since they say he's good with all types of animals, I'm not really sure though. Could just be a way to make it sound nicer than "I don't want him anymore." :(

Why would you ask someone money for rescuing your dog? Is this some sort of rescue league maybe? I hope he will find a wonderful forever home.

I have heard that it is better to ask for $ because it discourages the awful people that are looking for bait for their fighting dogs. However, I agree that it is unbelievable that this is how someone would try to rehome their older dog. So unfair!

Great idea Cindi...there's the LakeShore Corgi Rescue in WI. Maybe someone can contact them. I agree with Bev that a rehoming fee is necessary...except for on MyCorgi :)
