Since Corgi's put their ears up so often when they hear loud noises or are just interested in something, do you think that their ears ever get tired from staying up all the time? I tried to google this information, but there really isn't any on the topic other than that they have about 16 muscles in their ears. What do you guys think?

I always tell people Monty doesn't need a tail because his ears will tell you exactly how he feels. I can always tell when he is sleepy because his ears go horizontal. Looks so cute.
I agree that they're for communication...Bear always lays his down when he doesn't feel well.

Oh and I LOVE when he lays them flat when it's raining to keep the water out.
I always think of my corgis as having space alien ears that are big radar/communication towers. Wynn especially rotates his different directions. I love the rotations! They also go through this stage at a few months old when all you see is the ears and the bear butt!
Oh, so true about the growthy stage! Like all Corgis, Jack was the cutest little puppy. Everyone said so! We got so many compliments, and several people said he was the cutest puppy they ever saw.

He matured into quite a handsome boy, and we still get lots of compliments on what a nice-looking dog he is.

But there was a point, when he was about 4 months old, when all anyone said was "Oh, look at the ears!"

Once we were walking in the park, and a woman had a little toddler, just barely starting to talk. And the little girl looked at Jack, and she said:

"Doggie!"

And then she looked at him again, and she looked another time, and she pronounced:

"Rabbit!"

I nearly died laughing. Poor Jack!
Taz is still at this stage lol. I measured his ears today, 4 inches tall and I don't remember how wide. KC's are only 3 inches tall.
