I am looking for a new food for my 3 year old Corgi. She is currently on Blue Buffalo but lately has been getting very loose stools on both the chicken & lamb formulas. Any suggestions on a different food from anyone who has a Corgi that has "butt" problems would be greatly appreciated. :)

Henry tends to have this issue too. We recently switched to Avoderm (lamb and rice I believe) just to see if a new food would help. Supposedly it is good for dogs with sensitive stomachs. It actually has less protein than I prefer to feed (21% if I recall correctly?) but I think he needs the extra fiber to bulk up his poops a bit. It seems like the lower the grain content the messier his butt gets lol.

chloe tends to have a sensitive tummy but does very well on wellness as long as her daddy doesnt give her anything crazy to snack on. she is on the healthy weight formula.

We were on TOTW salmon, but switched to Kirland's Wilderness Salmon and sweet Potato after reading the ingredients and seeing it on several dog food review boards as great.A little less fat,so no more messy bum feathers!!Their coats, skin are beautiful.

I switched Franklin to Taste of the Wild from Blue Buffalo about 2 years ago and haven't gone back. His stool is great with that food, its also much cheaper. I also add a digestive enzyme called Biotic-C made by Wysong. That I think made most of the difference for him, the food helped a bit but he had soft stool on pretty much anything I fed but the supplement firmed things up quite a bit and really improved his coat as well.

I am currently switching Shippo over from Blue Buffalo Freedom to Acana Wild Prairie so we'll see how that goes.  I am going to avoid Blue Buffalo for now because someone else on here mentioned a research paper claiming that the company has little to no quality control but I can't find it anywhere and it makes me wonder because they haven't had very many recalls in the past several years so I don't know.

I use Canidae all stages.  I tried using the Ocean meal, but believe it or not they all got dandruff and dry skin.  So I went back to the All stages.  I feed mine twice a day.  In the morning I put in a tablespoon of yogurt.  I mean small tablespoon.  The probiotics helps them too.  I either use plain or vanilla.  They love it!

I use TOTW and Canidea I have never had problems with either of these.
