Edward's recovery from ACL repair
Right now all is quiet here...way too quiet: All I can think of is Edward all alone right now at the vet Hospital and I know I will not be sleeping much tonight. ACL repair was completed at 1pm today and seems to have gone well. I dropped him off at 7:30 am this morning and have not seen him since.... There was no Meniscus tear associated with the ruptured ACL so that is good. We went with the EXtracapsular REpair and will be anticipating a good 12 weeks of recovery the first 8weeks of which include very limited activity. I went and bought him some diversions like an Elk Antler and a large kong toy and we have that freezing with some PB in the freezer right now. Got the Ice pack chilling too... I am beside myself with worry for him right now and if I could I would probably break into the Vet hospital and take him.......

I'm sure it's horrible knowing he's there and not with you:( He's probably sleeping well with some good doggie drugs for the pain. Does he get to come home tomorrow? Good luck and please keep us updated!

Praying for a speedy recovery as much as possible, that is!! I am sure that Edward will be loving all the new treats he will have during the recovery time! What about freezing his meals in his kong as well?

Will keep you all in prayers. I'm sure he'll feel lots better way before he's ready to go full tilt, so lots of luck and patience with keeping him quiet! You might look into the Comfort Chews that Melissa uses with Kirby. I got them for Brodie when I have to leave him at home and it really seems to work.
