Edan is now a year and a half old and after he got into anti-freeze and was extremely sick for a few day he forgot a lot of his training. I don't know if this has something to do this the anti-freeze killing some brain cells or the fact that we didn't do much along the lines of training during this period. Some of the big things he forgot were fetching, sitting, and giving me his paw. Before this he would sit on command, and before i even taught him how to fetch he would already bring the ball back. Now he doesn't even come to me when he gets the ball. I have been trying to retrain him but he doesn't take treats when i try to give them to him, he just looks at it and slowly walks away with his ears back.

You did get him to the vet right away????????
It might be that he is not feeling up to it. When they are not feeling healthy they are not as peppy and Miranda has ignored me when she did not feel well. I hope everything turns out ok for your pup. I had no idea a dog could live thru anti-freeze.
he got into it some time in august, hes fine other than not listening to me
Corgis do occasionally forget all their training. I would go back to NILF training again! Try cheap hot dogs for really yummy treats and see if that works. Good Luck!
well the thing is when i try to re-train him he will only lay down when i try to tell him to sit, even with treats
sounds like he is traumatized a bit =( with the ears back. You might try something besides food training, with positive happy petting or even a clicker? I hope there is no brain damage, though really... antifreeze only crystallizes the liver, I thought?

Maybe give him a little more time. Like someone said, if they're not feeling up to it, then that's it. That's how I know Pooka is tired, when she will go get the ball but not bring it back. Maybe he's just too fatigued still.
Was he treated by the vet for the anti-freeze, and did he have a follow-up visit? I think that anti-freeze poisoning can cause permanent kidney damage, which is why I ask. When there are behavior changes, it's always a good idea to rule out health problems, and you may very well have already done that. Just wondering.
I brought him to a vet right after he got into it, they said he would probably die in a few days and I told them to... Uhh "get lost" but in more harsh words
I strongly encourage you take him back ASAP...he could be dying a slow death from some of the damage!
The vet didnt treat him at all? I cant believe thats what they told you!!! :O Definately bring him to a vet and I would get a different vet!!! Good Luck and keep us posted.
