Frozen Fun for Teething Puppies?
Hello all!
I currently have a teething, 4-month old corgi, Marty "McFly". Overall, we're doing great (as far as not being destructive), but I'm looking for different edible chew/treat options for him to help alleviate some of the discomfort. He's a lot pickier than my border collie was!
The biggest challenge with Marty is he sometimes gets bored with things. The frozen rag (with or without broth) offers about 2 minutes of interest, before he plops back down on the ground with a heavy sigh and gives me such a pitiful look. With his Kongs, it depends on if he's in the mood for whatever is in it (how can you SOMETIMES like peanut butter??! *LoL*) Ice cubes are fine at times -- he LOVES his Dogzilla Deep Freeze Arctic Bone (with a treat inside, plain water, or low sodium broth) and he LOVES his chew hoof.
The chew hoof I have been strongly against in the past, with my other dogs -- just from all the horror stories I've read about online. But one day at Petco, Marty was hanging out with his grooming pal, Paris and he found his chew hoof. He loved it and naturally, I started to worry. LoL! But I monitored him chewing on it, and luckily, Marty isn't a gulper or an aggressive chewer. I also monitored his stool for several days (ah, paranoid pet parent, yes yes...) and didn't see anything abnormal. When I went to get his 12-week shots, I asked the vet about it, and she said it was fine, as long as he was chewing it slowly and calmly. So, I have come to accept this is a chew he thoroughly enjoys --- but still, I'm always looking for other options.
A friend of mine that works at a natural pet store, suggested I treat him once and awhile to Primal's frozen marrowbones. I definitely considered it -- but I also read Melissa's thread about the risk of raw knuckle bones with her dog. Since Marty is a puppy, I worry that these bones might be unsafe for him at this stage -- but I would love to offer him a fun, frozen variety of treats.
Any suggestions on other frozen treats for Marty? Opinions on the raw meaty recreational bones for corgi puppies?

Thank you! Our pets' names usually reference something from the 80s. :B
Thought about freezing some Merrick treat sausages --- but still a little leery about the fat content and how long they will last!

Ice cubes, green beans, my two's favorite is PB yogart frozen pops. I make them in a small sized ice tray i just try to give something bigger than they can down whole.

Reading this old post, searching for new ideas as my current 4 month old puppy is teething. I used baby carrots and sweet potato sticks that I sauteed in chicken broth, then froze for my first puppy. Luke likes those things, but not like Leia did - she would lay on her back and mouth them until they were thawed, then gobble them up when she was teething.
Poor Luke is actually cutting like half his mouthful of teeth TODAY! He is drooling like a leaky faucet and every few hours I check and see another one about to break and one that just broke through. Poor little boy! I have been feeding him ice chips and frozen carrots all day.
I'm too nervous to give either of my dogs any bones. They get baked, unflavored pork skin chews that I monitor very closely. I would rather them have too many treats than have to take them to the vet for a blockage or worse. I might try freezing some banana bites like Sam suggested...

Maybe use less yogurt to make the treats harder so your pup will have to work a little more to taste.
