i have a one year old corgi and she sits around the house, not much exercise but we do take her out here and there. we've been feeding her twice a day bout a little more than half a cup. Is that too little?

That sounds about right, or at least that's what we feed Edison, who has a similar lifestyle. Your pictures look as though your dog is of normal size and has a healthy coat (usually a good indicator). If you're worrying because she's begging, don't. Corgis are famous for being insatiable and often become overweight because they're such adorable little beggars. (On the upside, they're often very trainable since they are so treat-focused.) :)
No, it is not too little. If anything, it might be too much... but I can't say for certain since your cute girl is laying down in all her pictures. When she's standing you want to see a bit of a waist "tuck," and you should be able to feel, but not see her ribs when you run your hands over her. My Corgi gets a fair bit of exercise and she gets 1/3 a cup twice a day. She only gets 1/2 cup twice a day when she's getting lots of exercise, like when it's warm enough to practice herding. But each dog's metabolism is different (my Aussie only weighs 3 pounds more than my Corgi, and he gets almost a full cup twice a day), so just keep an eye on her figure as a gauge of whether or not she's getting enough to eat. And like Edison said, don't believe their sad begging eyes... it's all a ruse! =)
I agree with Sky and Lyla, you really have to look to determine if they need more or less food. Mine get 1/3 cup twice a day with a veggie (usually green beans) added at dinner. More than a cup a day seems like a lot to me for an adult corgi. They are supposed to be an easy keeper so really don't need the larger quantities unless they are working. I adjust what I feed according to how they look from the top. They are better off with less food instead of more just like us humans! No matter what they say! They will be healthier and live longer.
kk thank you =D
I would agree with Sky and Lyla and Bev! Could you get a pic of her standing? My 1st thought was that she looks a little heavy but I can't tell from the pic. Do you feed her a quality food? Can you play with her in the house for more exercise?
My very active corgis get about 1.5's cup per day and are slim and trim.
