I was wonderinf if anyone out there has used the Frozen Bil-Jac food with their dogs before? I know Lyla's breeder fed it to her dogs. I am not looking for it to be a daily food for my dogs, as I am very picky about their food and have them both on a very high quality food, but I have heard of people using the Frozen Bil-Jac as a training reward. Lyla is not motivated by any of the treats I have tried so far, so I thought I might give it a try, I just don't want to be putting a lot of fillers or allergens in her.

If not bil-jac, what have been some low calorie, natrual training rewards that your dogs have really flipped over? Poor little Lyla is so stubborn, if I don't find something soon that motivates her, she might never get trained! =)

Mine will do anything for just a green bean but I have had people tell me that cheese is a very effective treat. You could try low fat cheese. Our trainer uses chicken but I think it is kind of a hassle.
We use: cheese, carrots, cheerios, trader joe dog treats that are little round wafer things, puperoni
Lance loves carrots, maybe try the baby carrots! He really flipped over the carrots!!! : )
Charlee Bear treats are natural and 3 calories each :) Mine loves the liver/cranberry flavored one.
I second that. We have the egg and cheese flavored ones, and they never seem to get old.
I third that! Sidney got egg/cheese flavor Charlee Bears at class tonight and could not get enough! He did everything perfectly in order to get maximum treatage.
I fourth that! They sell the beef liver flavor ones at our Trader Joes and I think they are only $2.99 for a bag! Plus they last forever and Gibson loves um!
Another Charlee Bear here. Only tried the cranberry ones. But I think Nala doesn't discriminate too much. She even likes lettuce and carrots.
Charlee Bear all the way!!
zukes mini - salmon flavor. spencer loves em
I use the Salmon flavor of Zukes as well... Lyla doesn't seem to care to work for them. She'll eat it if I will just give it to ther, but not if she has to work for it. SIlly Corgi!
The baby carrots are a big hit in our house. That and cheese - we get cheese slices and call it "dog cheese" in our home. Unfortunately, we've started having to spell out "cheese" because they now recognize the word :)
