Anyone every link together two or three x-pens into one giant one?  I'm curious if it's stable.

We don't have a fenced yard and I would like to have a non-permanent area outside where we can set up the dogs with a pool and some shade while we work out in the yard.   I've looked into options, and this seems like the most convenient (rolled fencing would be the cheapest, but seems like a royal pain).

My breeder has like 50 X-pens and they link together anywhere between half of one to what seems like six!  They do this with the plastic ones though, not the metal ones.  But, as long as it makes a closed loop, it should be stable regardless of the material.  You may have to buy small binder clips or something to keep them more closely connected.  Not sure if those big clips will help the cause.

Hi Beth,

I have used 2metal pens with no problems but  if you're not sure you could add a few plastic dowels (sp) in the corners to prevent it from moving.

They are very easy to pound in and remove! I think as long as it's on a fairly flat surface it will be fine!

I bet Maddie and Jack will have a great time:)

I've only done it with the plastic ones, but it did work. We used it around Henry's pool last summer before our fence went in.
