Ok. Charlie is 6 months old. He's the best!! He smells so good. He's NEVER had a bath. No need, yet. Is this a breed charastic or is he just a particularly clean Boy?

I've thrown Bugsy in the tub (for bathing purposes) only once - after he sat in a mud puddle. It was just a rinse - no soap or shampoo. sometimes he needs a quick rinse on his back side, *ahem*. I think because we all feed our dogs good healthy food (not Purina or less) that contributes to healthy skin & coat.

I second the suggestion of getting dogs used to being in the tub/sink at an early age. Bugsy always seemed curious about why the people keep going in the tub, so I started plopping him in there after I would get out. He likes to lick dripping water from the tap & frap about in the tub. so when it did come time to put him in there "for real", his reaction was more along the lines of "Finally! you put some water in here for me!" ya, he loves to swim...

Emma has hd one "bath" in her 10 years, it made her shed more and look like a fluff ball ( i thing she was like 3)...I  use the furminator on her and if she finds something stinkey here on the farm, I just rub it off with wet towel and soap which is very rare.  Yes, the dirt falls off and her paws and white spots are alway gleaming white...low maintainance doggie!  Go figure, wish my english setter who is 80% white would try her advice!  He always looks like heck!   I have to use the whitener shampoo for my horses on him!
Same here.  No doggie odor.  Seldom gets a bath.  Murray does shed a lot more than Zac did even though he is a bit less hairy.  Kind of a trade off.

I keep meaning to ask visitors if our house smells doggy.  We'd be the last people to know.

We bathe them when we do taxes, whether they need it or not.

This is such good news!!!!! I'd love him anyway, but it's a nice bonus to have a clean smell free dog!!!
I have read that they are known to be a very clean breed of dogs..............a bath once a month is all that is needed
Ok, I must have the only stinky corgi on this site.  About every 6 weeks Ginger needs a bath because she starts to smell like Frito's really bad.  She doesn't have much of a chance to roll in anything icky since she's mainly an indoor dog.  She loves bathtime though.  It used to be a struggle and would take both me and my husband to keep her in the tub.  Now she just stands there and smiles. :)

I'll bet that Frito's smell is just from Her feet!!That's easy to fix:clip the hair on her cute little feet, use a mild dog shampoo (I like the mild cocanut smelling kind :) only on Her feet, rinse well and you're all ready!!doggy toes can get smelly from the bacteria that hang out there.

I wish it was just from her feet.  It starts there but migrates to all of her fur. You can smell her coming and if you take a sniff of her head or her back they smell just like her Frito feet.
I always get complimented on how clean Noodles looks and it is funny because he gets a bath maybe every 4 months...unless he rolls in something. It is amazing how dirt just vanishes off him. Even living in Oregon and our lovely rain (being very sarcastic right now, I'm ready for the sun), I don't have to bathe him that often. He doesn't get the doggy smell.
My 3 gets baths rarely but brushed every other day. There is that great thing about the paws that smell like fritos...
Wow!  You are all very lucky!  Leia doesn't stink, but I have an extra sensitive nose and can smell the slightest difference in many things (blessing when I cook, curse when I work with children).  Leia sleeps in our bed and is very cuddly with us, so I bath her once a week with a conditioning shampoo.  She gets brushed before and after her bath too.  Once a week may be unnecessary, but I swear, after a week, she starts to smell like outside instead of like herself.  Her skin and coat are not overly dry, on the contrary, coat is soft and shiny and skin looks normal, so I guess I'm okay to bath her once a week.  She enjoys the bath too.
