Olive's Bowl Obsession

Olive has a funny habit after she's done eating. She'll walk over to her water bowl, take a few sips, and then lick her empty food bowl! Anyone else have a fuzzbutt that does this? Silly Olive...

Mine always lick each other's empty food bowl before I pick them up. As though any of them would ever leave food in there!

Mine do that too. Jack also will go into Maddie's crate and lick her towel if she's eaten a treat in there.

All three of mine ritually check and lick one anothers' empty bowls after a meal. Sometimes the bowls look so shiny that they could go back into the cabinet!!!

Yes Nancy I always tell people that Izzy gets dishes so clean that I don't even wash them! Gets me out of having to cook a lot....

Yoda and Chewie have to check each others' bowl after every meal. Of course there is nothing left!

Yes and sometimes after he's done eating I'll quickly take him out for his walk, and when we come back he goes and licks it more.

HA! Casey does the same thing. I want to say to her: "We've been together - and out of the house - since you ate. How could food have magically appeared in your bowl since we both left?"

Sometimes I think she's doing it in the hopes that I notice it's empty and fill it up again - she makes a TON of noise while doing it, hitting the bowl around and such, lol.

Yep, Stanley does this a lot. It always makes us laugh, as if there's any chance he would leave a bit of food in there! And if we give him a treat in the living room, he'll continue licking the carpet where we put the treat down long after he's finished eating it!

Mira doesn't do this yet, but Shadow does! (He's an aussie though-- not corgi) It's as if he's sayin' "hey mom-- you DO know this is empty, right?? Can we fix that now??" hehe.
