Ok, here is my issue and hopefully someone can help in this one.

I do a lot of camping during the summer time, and I'm wondering if my Corgi will survive the experience. I do know the experience can be taxing on a Corgi due to the rather dense undercoat.

Anyways any advice on this matter will help, and if you can help me with maybe avoiding pit falls. As camping season is currently approching quickly.

Well thank you as always, any information that can be provided is helpful.

Thank You,

Don and Crew

Corgis love to camp...I have only done this a couple times because I have too many now but there is a group for corgis who camp...that may have  some fun info!
We camp all summer with ours. The last few years we have not roughed it though since we now have a motor home. The corgis love it! They love meeting new people and checking out new places. If you are thinking about the heat,I try to allow for opportunities to swim when it is very hot. You may want some sunscreen for the nose because they can burn. Check for ticks after a day of out doors and be sure to allow for rest when it is the hottest. Also, don't leave your dog alone at the campsite because you do not want to disturb others with barking. Join Camping corgis, there are all kinds of campers in that group.
Oh he will LOVE it!!  Mine absolutely are the happiest when they are outside.  They get so excited when we go to our trail.  I'd just make sure you have shade during the day, and take lots of water for when they get thirsty.  And a good dip in the lake/creek is always a must!  (If you can handle the mud/stink!)
We took Star and Scout camping several times when they were between 6 months and 18 months.  They loved it - not sure the rest of the campground appreciated them so much - ie. they barked at everything.  Our only issue was they tried real hard to join the Coyotes howling and gaggling close by in the bushes - they sounded very friendly to me too but these dogs won't ever realize that the invitatation to dinner means that they are the dinner.
