Wrong Crate??

So I just got my crate in the mail for my puppy and I'm wondering if the one I got is a little too small? It's 24 x 18 x 19? I plan on using it until she is about a year old. Any suggestions?

It will be okay for now but 24" is a bit short for most adult corgis.

That would work for now but if you want it to last longer I would suggest 28X20X20. I do think that the one in my car is the size you have and they fit in it for traveling without taking up too much room so you could keep it for a car crate when you do get a new one...just a thought.

I just bought Ellie a new crate a few weeks ago as, at just over 1 year old, she had outgrown her second crate. I bought one that is 36" long and it will definitely be the last one that I have to buy. She has plenty of room and can stretch out completely without being cramped.

If you want to buy just one, you can't go wrong with one that is 36" long.

I have one that is 24" and Kirby will fit in it and sleep in it and Frank will too but since Kirby is having to stay in there during the day I upgraded to the Large one. He has WAY more room and I can fit a bed and water bowl in the bigger one.

I'd send it back and get a bigger one, 36". You might think you'll only use it until she is a year but things come up. Rosie just likes to sleep in her's with the door open. We leave it up all the time for her. Dogs get sick or hurt and need to be crated. A visiting kid is driving the poor dog nuts and needs to be crated so they don't get hurt. (yes, crate either the kid or the dog, whatever works!!). But seriously, sometimes they need to be crated so it's good to have one that is comfy for them.

We have crates about this size for our corgi and scottie. They have always slept in these crates, and even flew cross country and back in them for Christmas one year. they ae now five years old, and they can still stand up and turn around in the crate (a requirement if they are going to get past the TSA to fly). Our corgi is right at standard at 11 3/4 inches and 30lbs.
