My corgi is becoming something of a yapper. At night, the slightest thing will set her off into a barking fit, and it takes forever to get her to settle down. Does anybody have any tips to help solve this?

Is she hearing noises outside? Mine will be perfectly quite and all of a sudden they must hear what I can't and will start barking...I can sometimes hear dogs in the distance. Can you get her interested in a toy or something to chew?
Sparty likes to be on guard at night but I find if I put him in bed with us (he considers it a priviledge) and close our bedroom door he is quieter. I always tell him no when he woofs. Closing the drapes may help also. She might feel less on guard in a crate if the bed doesn't work for you.
