I meant to say, not as perfect. I've not had my coffee, and Simon and Caleb are running around playing with something that squeaks so loud, it's awful!

Really? I thought there was more than that for some reason - a couple of those shots are hard to tell - like I said in the thread, I wish Sam would make stills of those, it sure makes it easier to see the quality of the photo! :)

Well... wow, then all things considered, that's about the Cardi to Pem ratio out there. I'm surprised - there's several shots of Cardis on here that have been outstanding and I've noticed them browsing the thumbnails.

Hahah, well, we have all the darn photos at the right size for it. If anyone was really interested, it wouldn't be hard to put together at all. I'm on a horse board that runs a photo contest every year and they use Cafe Press for their calendars... it's easy to do. It's just as perfect as an end product, but it's nice.

Heck, it would be cool to have an all Cardi calendar - I hunted high and low for one the other year and got one finally as a gift for the store. I understand why they don't sell - when I was at the trade show, one of the vendors painted watercolors that she had on these lovely little cards and paintings, and she had one of a blue merle Cardi.

I bought every one of the design she had to send out to Cardi friends... and she was all excited, because she said he was a beautiful dog, but it was not a good seller for her at all. Heck, I would have bought the print if she had it. They were lovely, but it made sense that it wouldn't sell. I had to gently correct several vendors that day who had mislabled Pembroke items as Cardis. ;)

The one on the surf board, your Simon and Dawn's Finbar are the only Cardis. I'm voting for all three. :)

A Blue Crew calendar would be awesome!

Hahah, well, it wouldn't be hard at all to make one for the Blue Crew here... Good old Cafe press! But honestly, the quality isn't as well printed, and they'd end up being more expensive.

Like I said, I was just happy that several Cardis made it to the final round. We did last year but didn't final then - so I'd love to see any Cardi make it this year...

The dog on the surfboard is a great shot - and terribly cute. I think there's at least two more in there too, I just can't remember them.

Let's face it, Cardis are the minority on this site and it will probably always be that way. I'm fine with them not being as popular as the Pems; in fact I think it's better for the Cardis in many ways. I would however like to see the calendars more evenly distributed with Cardis and Pems, but I do believe the ones to choose the finalist are strictly Pem owners which does make them a bit biased. I don't blame them, I adore blue merle Cardis above all, but when it comes to something like making a calendar, fairness is important.

I'm with you Dawn, we need a Cardi calendar and it will have to have all of our blues in it! Now how can we get them all into just twelve months...

Photography is a tough, tough thing and so, so subjective, and I'm not just saying that because Simon and I did make the final round. I had a tough time picking my photo, and I still am second guessing my shot. It's a shot that looks fantastic in a 8 x10 format, but not so much as a small thumbnail I've noticed- I'll remember that for next year.

(And I loved Finbar's photo, thought it was a great shot on a great angle, and hey, I voted for him too because I personally tend to like photos that aren't staged too much, because they're usually far more expressive of the dog's personality.) Honestly, looking at the pictures, there's some wonderful quality there. I'd love to see the shots you guys submitted, the ones that didn't make it... :)

hey All !!!!
Well my Finbar would love your vote,! And I agree......maybe Cardi's should have their own calendar, huh ?? maybe all blue merles to boot : ) My son in law took Fin's photo running down the street outside our house in Oceanside. He is a cop and talented photographer to boot. I think all your dogs ROCK : )

Niko didn't get in either... I think his pic is beautiful.

I agree. It should not be all Pembrokes, not that I don't enjoy Pems but Cardis are wonderful too and it would be nice if they could make it more even this year. I only saw 3 Cardi pics in there but I will be voting for all three. I'm glad there were some blues chosen, even if Finn didn't get to be one of them. :(

*laughs* Just hoping to drum up a little merle support for the blues that made the calendar pull! (There's some great Cardi pics in there - I'd love to see a few Cardis get a spot this year!)
