Dogs are so great in nursing homes. When my dad was in what turned out to be his final days and was in a nursing home after a surgery, it perked him up to no end to see our little Asta. It got him talking to the other people there and made him feel so much better. One of the ladies had been there for about two weeks and hadn't said anything or shown any signs of interest in anything until we brought Asta in. She asked to see her and had me lift her up onto her lap and started telling me about her cat and her son's dog. The staff were astounded. This was in the olden days before animals in health care facilities were as common as they are now. It will do your mom a world of good to see them. Best wishes!
well, the boys went to see "grandma" at the nursing home today. yea, they were a hit. mom's roomie goes home tomorrow so, mom wanted the dogs to come in so she could see them. they were happy to see her and i know she was happy to see them. so, i imagine they will hac\ve to go at least once a week. they also visited with some of the other people there and the employees. didn't stay real long because it was warm in there.
I could not post my pictures so if you want to see them 93 just sent me a friend request at daisymaycorgi@yahoo.com Daisy has a page on corgi nation

We had a great time at the picnic and the weather was just beautiful. Many new friends and loved all the beautiful corgis. The food was way over the top and we ate plenty as always. Thanks so much for those who put the picnic togeather. And in the future we are always willing to help out. Now i will try to figure out how to post the awesome pictures we have from the picnic. Vicki your salad fixings went over great. But I forgot my dish, but that's OK.
