Name tags: Great idea!Nail trimming demo: Dremmel? I'd love to learn how to do that....
Also guys I need a bit of feedback!! I have asked a groomer friend of mine if she would be willing to come to the picnic and do some $5 nail trimmings (at her shop she normally charges around $10) and/or a presentation on how to trim nails at home, is this something you guys would be interested in doing? I don't want her to have to drive out there and then nobody would want a nail trimming.... Let me know if this is something you would FOR SURE do so I can let her know.As for the rain date, again I would like some feedback. I know a few people have told me they can only do one weekend and if it rains out they will not be able to make it. So as of now there is no rain date....
So I went to the pet store today and bought a few cute things for the Raffle For Rescue. Those sausage links are the CUTEST toy I have ever seen!! So I bought one for the Raffle and one for my boys too (which Eddie stole for himself right away)!!!! So the sausage links are DEFINITELY Corgi approved!! LOL!
By the way....
Is there a rain date as Flicker mentioned earlier?
If so I will add that to my calendar as well. I am hoping that we have a dry, cool September 8th and my two Corgis, Wynne & Will, will have a blast!
I agree with Julia about the name tags.
After attending your great picnic last year, I helped organize the Illinois picnic in Freeport and I brought name tags. I think it helped everyone a lot. I had them write their name large and in the middle of the tag and then at the bottom add the names of their Corgis. That way I could tell who was with who.
Looking forward to this year's picnic!
Thanks for the welcome to the cheesehead corgis. Jotted down the date for the picinic. Will plan on attending. Can help out if needed. Just let me know. Looking forward meeting all the pets and parents.
Last year was my first time. I met a lot of people with nice regular people names. But I know people here by their cyber names. How about name tags with our forum names on them. Then I'll be able to tell Flicker from CorGeek, etc. Whatta you guys think? :)
we have a new person in the group. it's tina. want to welcome you. also, picnic is being planned for sept 8. jot it down on your calendar. hopefully it won't rain. how's the new baby???
Yes! I'm putting the event on my calendar...and I won't let the company send me out of town this time!
Oh, yes, a Corgi Picnic! We had fun last year, and are looking forward to this one. The date is on my calendar.
Even my "honorary corgi", the spaniel, had fun.
