Sorry we will be unable to attend the picnic this year! Zach and I will be on vacation
: ( Hope everyone has a blast! We'll have to catch everyone next year!
Looking forward to Corgi Picnic :)
The flyer looks great! Nice graphics and simple.
I am looking forward to attending.
Flicker,
The flyer looks great! We're looking forward to coming!
Jaime, Bill & Kitsie
looks good to me and you did this by your-self! very nice. i think it says it all. this should be a lot of fun. what if people want to donate but can't make the picnic?
any up-dates on the picnic?? been pretty quiet.
you have covered everything. darn your good!!!!!!! it would be great if sandy came. but, it might be her busy season at work. i can never remember.
Groomer: As of now she is not coming. I don't feel like there was enough interest for her to come out there (as she owns her own business I don't want her to have to close it for the day just for us unless there was more interest).
Directions: Here is the website for the Dog Park:http://www.jeffersoncountywi.gov/jc/public/jchome.php?page_id=610
Unfortunately there is no address, so the only thing I can advise is to get directions to either Jefferson or Johnson Creek and then go to Hwy 26. It is very easy to find and there are lots of signs that point to the road it is on.
Dishes: Sorry but I am not going to nit-pick and micro-manage this part of it. I don't have the energy for that lol. If everyone wants to post what they are bringing then great! Just keep in mind that last year we had about 25 people, so that was a lot of dishes so don't bring a TON of food. I will have soda and water (and plates/forks/napkins etc.) provided. HOWEVER, if say a couple people wanted to get together and bring some stuff (like somebody bring buns, another bring cold cuts for sandwiches) that would be fine too.
I know it's still fairly early. I don't have an exact number of people coming (and I won't), but every year we grow in number of attendees. Last year we had around 25 people. The lady at the parks and rec asked if she could send out an e-mail to those in Jefferson County who have corgis to let them know about the picnic, which I said was fine. I will also be extending the invitation to the IL Corgi group and to the Sunny Garden group (the woman who owns Sunny Gardens is HOPEFULLY coming so I wanted to invite her puppy people).
Also, I have posted the picnic onto the front page of MyCorgi. You can RSVP on there if you want to--it will give a VERY GENERAL idea of how many are coming (but again, not everyone RSVPs).
Hope this answers some of your questions! :)
@ Vicky I am moving your comment here :)
From Vicky: so, you mentioned a while back that your friend might be coming out to do nails, is that going to happen? need to get directions from here to there also. what kind of dish? maybe we need some input on that so everyone doesn't bring chips and dip. hehe
