Hey! Does anybody here participate in WORS mountain bike racing? I don't, but my boyfriend does and I'm really excited to bring our corgi to his races and know that quite a few people bring their pets!
CORGI-Con was in Urbana, Illinois yesterday.
It was our first Corgi event in central Illinois. Since it did very well, I think we will repeat it next spring.
It was on the main page EVENTS. (You can still check on the details of it if you look in the events for May19.)
Corgi-Con? Where was that?
We had CORGI-CON yesterday. There were 23 Corgis there.
I told several people about the September 8th date for the Wisconsin Corgi Picnic.
Doesn't hurt to get the word out early.
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if someone will do jack's nail's for only $5.00, count me in. just tell her to take a valium before it's his turn-hehehe. and gracie- some times all that "going on" takes the dogs mind off of the nail trim. have had to do that a couple of times at shows. the dogs are so busy being "interested" in all the goings on, that they don't even relize what's happening. alaso, if this groomer is who i think andrea is talking about, she is also into dog showing and does take into account how your dog is going to be acting. i think it's a great is a great idea. and i have no input as far as a rain date. i have dog shows planned already for the weekends of sept. 15-16 and 22-23. i'm really hopeing to get the "boy" finished this year. hope, hope, hope
Hm. I think it would be to hectic to do nail trimming. I'm just thinking of our own Kitsie. She wouldn't sit still for that. Too much going on.
As for rain date, we're free.
I just want to know if there is going to be a rain date so I can keep that day open as well. Also, I helped organize the Illinois Corgi Picnic last year and I don't want to have it on the same day/days as your picnic. Last year we had the Illinois Corgi Picnic on September 11, so I want to be sure to move ours back a bit. I don't want them to end up on the same day. Thanks for any info.
Personally, I would not do a nail trim on my dogs at the picnic. They will be too excited with all the Corgi fun, so I would not opt for a nail trimming at that time. Might be tramatic.
Name tags: Great idea!
Nail trimming demo: Dremmel? I'd love to learn how to do that....
Also guys I need a bit of feedback!! I have asked a groomer friend of mine if she would be willing to come to the picnic and do some $5 nail trimmings (at her shop she normally charges around $10) and/or a presentation on how to trim nails at home, is this something you guys would be interested in doing? I don't want her to have to drive out there and then nobody would want a nail trimming.... Let me know if this is something you would FOR SURE do so I can let her know.
As for the rain date, again I would like some feedback. I know a few people have told me they can only do one weekend and if it rains out they will not be able to make it. So as of now there is no rain date....
