Hello! I'm so excited to know that others are interested in mixed breed dogs! I too have had issues with purebred rescues not taking dogs. :(

Unfortunately the Corgi rescues wouldn't take him bc he wasn't purebred! rude! BUT he did find a great new home this morning!

Wellie looks more chow than my little Chorgi does (that's what I call her breed) Chloe has the chow personality more than corgi. She will frap, but doesn't herd and VERY protective of her territory. A little aloof, would rather lay in the room with you, than in your lap. Still, I wouldn't trade her for the world.

Thank you, I think he's pretty cute too. I tend to think of him more as a chow chow than a corgi, but other than herding I don't know a lot about corgis. There is a little short lady we see when we go walking sometimes, and I have to lead him across the street from her because he really wants to herd her. The first time we saw her I think Wellie nipped her on the rear, but she was too polite to say anything. So now I try to avoid the situation. He loves to stop, drop and roll on the grass but I don't know if that's a corgi thing or a chow thing or just a Wellie thing.

Try and get a hold of a corgi rescue near you. There are quite a few in Florida when I did a search corgi rescues in florida. Good luck.
