Tigger tried to herd the horses once, and he almost didn't survive from out of no where he found an extra gear. I practiced the same thing that I do when a horse does something that is absolutely forbidden like biting, kicking etc and let hell rain down on him. He got a spanking and stern yelling. He hasn't done it again. He does think he can growl and bark and keep the horses away from the cookie jar.

Just exercise your corgi away from the horses...I take my corgis for big long walks at the barn so that they are kind of tired out.

We show reining horses and our dog, LoLo goes with us to all our shows, she LOVES to be in the truck, loves sleeping in the trailer and all the fun things! People get such a kick out of her, she is really small for a Corgi, so her size always starts conversations!

Dally loves going to work the horse shows with me (I work in the show office), but when I was able to show, she was very good about sticking around the stalls or the trailer. She enjoys being around the horses and me.

Well our first show is next weekend and Whisper will be in her usual vantage point in the announcer's stand. Not many dogs will hang out in a lawn chair for twelve hours (I think I'm gonna buy her a stroller for a change).

We don't show but we do a lot of trail riding, I got Corky later this fall and have had him out to the barn a few times ( he likes the horse apples ewwww!) Hopefully if it ever warms up here in Wi he will get to go out on his first trail ride! We will definitely get some pics posted of the boys and I thought only the queen and i liked Corgis and horses!

Carol, I raise Corgis and have a awesome 8 year old spayed female that needs a safe horse home - a few weeks ago for some reason my Aussie and Heeler got her down and scared her and now she doesn't want to come out of her house at all. She is super smart and well manered and she is free to a great home. I am in Tennessee and you would have to come and get her. Email me a lookoutfarm@gmail.com if you think you are interested. - Mari
