We're in Portland and I'm having difficulties locating an agility center near us. Sydney has so much energy and loves our make-shift obstacle courses, so it would be great to get her started with training.

Comment by Mary and Rosie on February 10, 2010 at 2:49am: Ecola State Park sounds great! I went to the Ecola State Park website and e-mailed them through the 'contact us' link. I heard back pretty quickly, they do allow dogs on the trails, but they must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet.

This works out for us since Rosie still puts a lot of stuff in her mouth and I have to be careful. I wouldn’t want her to be so far off that she could eat poisonous berries or something and I wouldn’t notice.

I guess it would be worth a visit to the State Park Website and see if that is still true???? I haven't been to a State Beach yet that lets you have dogs off leash, BUMMER:)
