Ein always told me he wasn't fat, just thick boned!! He loved to eat!! Twinkie and Lilly Munster are very fit and trim, which is amazing!! Twinkie is 20.5 lbs, so cute!! They are all cute as far as I'm concerned though!! :) I think Sonny just wants to "help" just like BoBo did! Funny, huh!

LOL!! I had a Rott several years ago that thought I planted a garden just for him! He would ever so carefully pluck out the plants, then eat them!! Or run around with them and place them in a neat pile for me to pick up! ;)

Anyone else have this problem? Our Sonny, the 40.8# furchild, has discovered the squash plant! Same dog who ate the flowering kale last fall - now he has decided that we planted the squash just for him YUM YUM! He must have heard me talking about my mother-in-laws dog who ate all the watermelons off the vine!

Prednisone will do that in humanes so why not corgis! I wish you the best with Rugby. So hard with that diagnosis and the medication regiment, and then all the weight gain. Good Luck!

Rugby our older Tri is a big boy. He weighs in around 45 lbs. He was diagnosed with canine aids a few years back and is on a regiment of prednisone which 'blows" him up. He's doing fine but has packed on a few pounds.

Cindi, I went to your page and viewed the cute pictures of Twinkie - she doesn't look so big to me, but then I have TW or Too Wide at my house! My son has decided that Sonny is so cute as a fattie that we should not allow him to lose weight!

Our vet said that Twinkie is just a "big girl". I know her sire is one big corgi too. The vet asked us to please keep her under 40lbs.

I guess I would ask what the vet says! I have Sonny who is a male, 9m year old, gained almost 6 pounds in the year since we rescued him!, now weighing in at 40.8 pounds. We were told to put Sonny on "lite" food, I think he is gaining on it!! I cannot lift him, my son has not gotten around to weighing him. The picture is sooo cute, but I guess that wasn't your question. Just sign me the mother of a fatty and a skinny one
