Spoiled Rotten Corgis

For all the corgis out there who are doted on by your families, get your own way, and are basically spoiled beyond belief. I would love to hear your stories.

Here's how it goes at our house.... both of them get CARRIED upstairs to be put to bed just like we did with our kids when they were babies. On the weekend they get to come in with us and during the week they get tucked in their little beds in our mudroom! Gem is a real character when she gets to sleep in our bed, she roots around under the covers and falls asleep covered up by the blankies, Ed usually is dead weight on or near my feet. CRAZY CORGIS, crazy Corgi lovers!!!!!

By 9PM Chepstow is in bed. He just goes off to bed when he wants and does give us a very dirty look when we come in the bedroom at 10 or 11 and turn the light on.
When we get into bed he is just dead weight and refuses to move over. We usually roll him and we get another look.

We have a King size bed that gets pretty crowded too! Sparty likes to lay crossways between us which takes a lot of space. They like us to stay on a regular schedule too. It is amazing how expressive those eyes can be!

I used to be a real night owl. Midnight to 2am was my favorite time of day, especially on the weekends when I could really indulge in the peacefulness of the late night/early morning hours. Now? Tobey stares a hole right through me begging to go upstairs so he can get in his crate and go to sleep. You might wonder how I have adjusted to this...well of course I now go to bed at 10pm and quietly read or watch TV and then get up at 7am. Certainly not what I was used to, but I wouldn't change a thing. I just love that little guy!

It is amazing how much room two corgi's can take up on a king size bed. We thought with a king we might have some more room......nice thought

2 corgis laying with me on the bed, can't move my legs, getting that corgi cramp now...... oh glad that's over...think I'll get a snack, on second thought that would be too much chaos, guess i'm going to bed!!

When I have had to restrict activity, I leash him in the house and keep him with me.

Edward is acting like nothing happened which is good and bad at the same time!! Tell me, how do you keep a Corgi from running, jumping and climbing for 7 days??? I am not putting him in his crate exclusively unless it is life or death and even then they have our whole mudroom for their very own little place!!!

It is a little chilly but we went out on the boat this afternoon. I don't think Tenby would care if it was snowing......he loves being on the boat.
Edward, the boys say "you will be fine and you will never miss um"
