Hi all!I've read a few posts regarding Corgi body language and how their ears move. Looking at my 10wk old Paddles when she plays and fraps around my house, I try to observe her behavior. However I…Continue

Thanks for accepting my friend request, Kylie! Miss Paddles' face is so innocent and cute :)
how is your special corgi friend today?
she is so cute.how old is she now?
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL BABY!!! Of course, there isn't anything as cute as a corgi puppy.
Your pup is freaking adorable:) I'm jealous-I don't get to start with my Corgi journey for a few more months haha.. It feels like FOREVER!!
I taught her to go down by putting her in the sit and then tempting her to go down by using a titbit in front of her nose and then down to the floor and forward. I do a lot with rewards and also use her natural behaviour patterns, saying things like like "good down" when she is lying.
I used to give her a reward whenever she had relieved herself outside and this worked a treat (when I told the vet, we had a laugh at the thought of her desperately trying to squeeze more out to get another reward...)
Mind you, I am lucky with her because she wants to please unlike one of my previous girls who would only obey if it was worth her while and she was in the mood.
What a good choice - Corgis certainly make one of the best canine companions. My pup is now 4.5 months old and is a delight. She too liked attacking my ankles and each time she did it, I stamped my other foot. She very rarely does it now.
They are very trainable and it is worth spending time now to get her into the right habits. Zeba already comes when she is called, sits and lies down on command, brings objects and gives them and is house trained.
Make the mpst pf the puppy stage as it passes too quickly.
Welcome Kylie and Paddles! Corgis are the best co-adventurers!
