The vet had called me earlier this week to tell me that Casey's stool sample was positive for Giardia.  I was a surprised to hear that since his stools were firm and we had been so careful when he's…Continue

Excited about potential new puppy, but has anyone made you feel bad about not adopting?

My boyfriend and I have been fans of corgis for a few years now, but the time was never right to get a dog until a few months ago.  We dived into doing our research on the breed, local breeders and…Continue

Flying for the 1st time with a Corgi!

Posted on December 27, 2013 at 12:30am 10 Comments

I'm hoping this post will help out those who are flying with their Corgis in-cabin since I really didn't know what to expect.  However, please note that my experience and circumstances may differ than others.

My now fiancé (I just got engaged!) and I recently traveled from Maryland to Maine and back with our puppy, Casey.  He was 18 weeks old weighing in at about 16lbs.  We flew non-stop on US Airways, and their pet policy is that they accept one small dog, cat or bird per…

It's been two weeks since Casey came home with us and it's amazing how one little puppy has changed our lives!  It's been great to see his personality develop too.  He is a very sweet boy that loves meeting people and other dogs (although most dogs we've met haven't been too thrilled to meet him, except for the other puppies in his puppy class).

My boyfriend and I will be bringing home our male PWC puppy next Saturday, and we cannot contain our excitement!  He'll be 11 weeks old, and we've decided to name him Casey after my boyfriend's beloved old family dog.  I feel like we've been waiting forever for him since we've been seriously talking about getting one for over a year now.  However, acquiring Casey came into fruition fairly quickly as we only found out last week that we were bringing him home.

We initially…

Hello! I was wondering how you liked the Match a few weekends ago? I went, but only got a chance to talk to Anne Phillips for a short time, and listen to Carrie from Dalarno chatting to a few people.

I was just wondering if you managed to chat with any other breeders? :)
