I just thought that would be a funny title to use for this blog. I always thought it was humorous when people would refer to getting a dog neutered or spayed as getting him/her "fixed". I have 2 nephews, one is 8 and the other is 4. Zachary (the 8-year old) understood what was happening so we used the appropriate terminology. However, we told Ryan (the 4-year-old) that Bailey was getting fixed. He replied....."how did Bailey get broken?" Gotta love kids.
Needless to…

Well, today marked Bailey's first experience with a groomer and he was just perfect. My mother has a local mobile dog groomer who has been taking care of her 11 year old pekinese for many years now. I decided to give him a try. For a total of $40.00 Bailey was bathed, dried, thoroughly brushed, coat trimmed, nails trimmed, anal glads expressed, and ears cleaned.
I love the concept about the groomer coming to me. I've always used Petsmart and, although they are…

Well, we have had Bailey for a little over 2 months now. He is going to be 5 months old next week. He is housebroken, fairly obedient (definitely has a mind of his own sometimes), and absolutely hilarious. For the most part, he comes with us wherever we go (except to the grocery store and such). He has been left alone in his crate for up to 6 hours with no problems whatsoever. However, we recently made the plunge and opted to purchase annual passes to Disney World. This past Saturday…

Well, it has been a very busy Mother's Day weekend. Saturday was a Mother's Day barbecue at my sister's house with about 20 people including 5 children. Therefore, Bailey was left at home (crated) for the afternoon. I am a highly overprotective corgi daddy. Not only do I want a group kids ranging from 3 to 9 trampling my dog (the younger bunch become oblivious to the squatty puppy under their feet) but I also want to avoid the kids getting scratched or nipped by a playful corgi puppy who…

Hello!! I was looking through your pics and saw the cheese ball helmet pic, please be very careful with those kind of bags or any kind of bags. There was a member on here who lost their corgi because a bag got caught on their corgis head while they were out. Alot of people will cut the bags in half, just to avoid the hazard, one can never be too careful with our corgis safety. Every time I see a bag on a corgis head, it just brings bad things to mind.
Hope you are enjoying this awesome site. :)
