Lyla waited until I left the room, and then decided to check out the Taco Bueno bag on the coffee table. When I came back, she was caught red-handed, so she just decided to play it cool with that "huh? I wasn't doing anything," face.

I think, for the first time in my life, I can truly understand what would drive someone to harm someone else's dog. I have put up with our new neighbors' dog for over a month now and all the horrible things that have come along with it. We won the costume contest! I was so stoked! The lady handing out prizes said that anyone willing to dress up with their dogs (like I did) deserved to win, lol.

Sky is so embarrassed here... he HATES wearing clothes!

I took Lyla, and only Lyla, on a walk tonight. I think that is the first time she has ever gone on a walk without big brother Sky. She was so incredibly good too! It sounds a little sad, but I had no idea she had such great leash manners because Sky is a little more hyper on walks (a little more hyper EVERYWHERE) and so when he pulls, which is getting less frequent than it used to be, it pulls her too since they are hooked together on a splitter. I was so proud of my baby girl!

It has been raining heavily here ever since I got home from work (of course, sunny all day, and as soon as I leave work, torrential downpour). Thanks for all the encouraging comments I got earlier this week when I was deciding whether or not to add another member to what is quickly becoming a herd of dogs! While it was very nice of the breeder to think of me and offer me a chance at a beautiful show prospect, in order to get such an expensive puppy on such short notice (1 month) I would have had to use my entire emergency budget. Sky reminded me this week why I couldn't do that.
