We've had a pretty big last few months (my sister passed away October 27th and his grandma passed away December 11th) so with the services and holidays and visits and family get-togethers, we didn't really get to decorate the house like we wanted to. We put up a tree and played Elf on the Shelf a bit, but that was the extent of it. Any who, it's Christmas Eve morning and my boyfriend says he has a surprise for me. We go outside and he says, "I know we didn't get a chance to decorate this…Continue
I just wanted to let the MyCorgi world know that Maverick is doing AWESOME. He is a puppy so obviously the chewing and potty training is at the forefront, but other than that, he is doing abnormally well for a puppy.
At first, he didn't really have his legs under control.. it looked like his back legs had grown a little faster than they should have, and he was klutzy and clumsy, but after running around every day, he has figured it out and is so FAST for a little guy!! I know…Continue

I was going to wait until I picked up Baby Mavvy to post more pictures, but I got more from the breeder and just had to share.
Less than 3 Weeks…Continue
Sunday July 8th, one week ago today, I decided to Google any upcoming corgi litters in the area. I found a litter born June 16th with a couple male pups available. I sent the woman an email and within the hour had multiple pictures of the male my boyfriend and I liked best. We sent her our reserve deposit and officially started the countdown to picking up our new baby boy, Maverick. The woman had names for her pups for reference and our choice's name was Raccoon, which was kind of a sign…Continue
I feel guilty at times at how normal life seems now, even though it's only been about two months since Murphy passed away. He was my best friend and my heart dog, and although he's gone, I truly feel that because I loved him so FULLY when he was here, and because he knew how strong my love was for him, that he will always be with me, watching over me, and snuggling up to my heart when times get tough.
Maya has been growing up a lot in the last couple months. We've left her out…Continue
It has now been twelve days since Murphy passed away. He was my very best friend and most loyal companion, and I know that because we both cherished each other so fully in life, that I am able to heal a lot easier than I thought I would. Maya and Moses have been a HUGE help and I am so lucky and thankful that they were, and are, here.
Maya was the baby of the group, and acted as such. She still chewed on things, barked incessantly, jumped up on everyone, wasn't trusted alone…Continue
It’s been 8 days since you passed away, and I still can’t believe you are gone. I am having a hard time accepting the fact that you aren’t within reach. That you aren’t pointing your fuzzy butt at me. That you aren’t laying on the wood floor to cool off. That if I put down the laptop screen, you won’t be there smiling at me down by my feet. I miss you. I never thought I could miss someone so much.
I am so sorry that this happened to you. I wish I would have been…Continue
I know the grief process is different for each person, but I'm pretty sure I'm lucking out this time. The burial, the support, and the memories have all kept me so positive through this traumatic and emotional experience.
Here's a bit of background before I continue: Murphy loved to dress up. I'm not one of those dog-owners that just says that, either. Maya HATES it.. Moses only likes it because you are giving him attention when you are dressing him. Murphy... he LOVED to be…Continue
