Well, Hannah went to the vet today for all her yearly shots and tests. She was surprisingly well-behaved! She weighs 25.2 lbs. now at 1 year and 5 months old. The vet said he'd like to see her down a few pounds, so we may be cutting back on food slightly. Her eating habits have actually slowed down considerably, and she doesn't act as if she's starving when she's fed anymore, so I don't think this will be too devastating for her. Continue

Well, Hannah's birthday came and went. I was supposed to pick up her pupcakes on Friday, but they ended up delivering them to the wrong store, and I had to wait until Saturday. I think I was more disappointed than Hannah. Anyway, I brought them home and took some pictures of her with them. It took her forever to eat one because she had no idea what it was. Hehe!

Today is Hannah's birthday, and she is now one year old! We haven't celebrated much as the weekdays are very busy, but we are going to have a mini party for her on Friday! We start puppy class this Wednesday! I'm really excited about it (overly excited, probably). Hannah already knows sit, down, shake, speak, and roll over, but I she just isn't all that focused most of the time. I don't remember what all they teach in the class, but I'm hoping we do some work with the recall as that's her worst area of practice.

The Furminator! I finally decided to order it last week as Hannah has started shedding pretty bad lately. Tore it open and got to work. Amazing! No brush can possibly compare to this thing!

A kitty get hit by a car. They didn't even brake. I saw it trying to get up but it was moving so wildly. The cars behind them at least avoided it. I had Hannah with me and was headed home. I keep thinking that I should have went to help it. I feel so terrible now. :(

I dropped Hannah off at the vet this morning to be spayed. She was happy (aside from not getting breakfast), but I left sad. I tried to keep myself busy all day while waiting to go back to pick her up. I expected her to be groggy, but that wasn't the case at all. She wiggled her little butt when she saw me and the boy and gave us kisses. She was yawning a lot on the car ride home but still wanted to look out the window and check things out. So, the boy and I took Hannah to Bark in the Park today. There were soooo many dogs there! We got lots of free goodies and met lots of nice people. I'd say we found around 15 other Corgis, and I loved them all! Several Pems and a few Cardigans (which I thought were absolutely beautiful with their busy tails!). So, Hannah's spay is scheduled for the 18th of this month. I know it'll be fine, but I can't help but be nervous! I took a couple days off work so I could be here with her. It may not be necessary, but it will at least make me feel better. On the 16th, I'm going to a dog event in St. Louis. I'm not sure what to expect, but I think it'll be fun. So, Hannah had her first check-up at the vet today. She is 5 and 1/2 months old and weighed in at 13 pounds. She had her last distemper shot as well as her rabies, so she's all caught up for the next year. The vet said she looks very good and everything checked out fine. Got her started on HeartGuard today as well. They said she will be all set for her spay in a month. All the vet techs and secretaries loved her. I will be heading out tomorrow to pick up the new addition to my family. It's going to be about a 9 & 1/2 hour drive, but will be so worth it!
