Hi everybody,

I have to tell you about our corgi adventure last weekend at the Fairhope Arts & Crafts Fair. It's a BIG fair! The entire center of town is closed down and vendors and artists are everywhere. Well, we decided to take the fur-kids.

Every two booths we were stopped. Are those "cor gees?" Ughh. No, they're corgis. Not all of them, right? What's the other one with the tail? Sigh. It's a corgi, too. Can I take their picture? Yes. We didn't even get to see the whole fair. It was insane. The highlight of the afternoon, though, was seeing the director of the rescue that sent us Moira. Moira was our FAT corgi, almost 48 lbs., who is now 24 lbs. He was amazed! And he's asked me to come talk to his dog walkers! Very cool.

It was a great day. We really enjoyed ourselves. And we had some great laughs at the expense of all of the people there.

Has anyone else tried to go to these kind of events? Did folks stop you constantly?

Every week when we go to therapy visits at the Senior home, we get lots of questions! I've noticed, though, that the senior generation knows more about corgis than the younger does :)

The funnest thing is the Renaissance Faire though. Ren Faire people LOVE the Corgwyn! Even the queen stopped to say hello :)

I get stopped everywhere with Nutty and Cinny in tow. First question...what happened to their tails? Second question...why are their legs so short? Third question...how do say it...Cor Gees? LOL! I just love how people are so fascinated. We really do have unique dogs, and I love it!

Oh Yes, We go to the Renissance(sp) Festival here and I go for my dogs! Most people there are familiar with corgis! We never get more than 20' without someone stopping us...it's great! You can see Livvy's pic from last year on my page! I wish they had more of these!

That sounds like a fun day. My husband and I love Art Fairs and plan many of our camping trips around them. The corgis are always a big hit although I am careful so that they do not get stepped on in the crowds. One of my favorite times was when a couple with a child in a wheelchair stopped us and their child was obviously excited about the dogs. Both corgis went right up to the wheelchair and reached up to let him pet them. The parents were so thrilled that they were not afraid of the chair. They love the attention.
