Bad day at work helped by corgi love

I just started a new job and I feel so over my head. I came home in tears and when I opened the door there were my two sweet smiling corgi babies. Loving those two is the best medicine in the world. I still think I got into a job that I am not smart enough to handle, but corgis make me think everything will work out somehow.

Yeah, I know I felt like that when I first started this job. It does get easier with time but I remember the first few months I had times I thought I would cry at work. Every now and then I still get a day where something gets thrown at me and I don't feel I handled it well at all and I feel awful, but I just think that when I get home I have my little cuddley sweetie who thinks that I am the greatest! So as silly as it sounds, it might make it easier for you to just picture how you feel when you come home to your two fur babies, whenever you get that panicky feeling.

I'm sure you can handle the job or else they would not have hired you! Be proud they feel you are able. Learning a new job can always be tough and sometimes very stressful as you know. Just hang in there and it will get better. It has to, right? As long as you are willing and eager to learn it, then they will teach you. Just give it time and all will be well. And remember you always have your dogs to come home to as your sanctuary.

Early days are always overwhelming. You don't know what you're doing yet and you totally lack the social support system you have in a job you've held for awhile. It's normal to be nervous, and I don't know about you but when I'm under stress, over-tired, and unsure of myself I have a horrible habit of feeling like I'm just plain not competent. I am sure that after a few months you'll look back at this time and smile at your insecurities.

Those toothy grins sure do make it all seem better, don't they? Give them extra hugs and extra low-calorie treats. :-)

Hang in their, the first few days are the hardest. Keep focused on what is important in your life and the rest will take care of itself! Lots of Corgi Love helps.

It is probably good that you realize you don't know it all in a new job. It means you are ready to learn. Your corgis know you are special so listen to them, they are smart dogs!!
