I was awakened at 4am last night to a corgi in distress. It began with barking, to which I responded "No. Go to sleep. Shut up." I grabbed my phone of my night stand and shined it on the bedroom door, where I expected to find Jasper begging to get out. Surprisingly, no corgi at the door. I shrugged it off and started to go back to sleep. Then the whining started, which is really strange because I've heard Jasper whine a total of 3 times in his life, most of which were whilst in an uncomfortable situation at the vet. Now I had to get up, honestly expecting to find him staring at a bouncy ball stuck under the bed or something. I stumbled over to the bathroom and flicked on the light to find Jasper on the floor completely wedged into my husband's pajama pant leg like a little corgi sausage. His face gazed up at me from the bottom of the pant leg with his ears pinned back in the pants and a pathetic look on his face. I peeled the pant leg off of him and freed him from his pj prison. He seemed a little embarrassed and looked up at me like "What are YOU laughing at?" Lord only knows what he was doing rummaging around in a pair of pants in the middle of the night, but my bet is that he won't be trying it again tonight. I've come to the conclusion that my dog is almost as weird as I am.

That is hilarious! I've woken up to Bear whining and looked all over the room for him, only to find a corgi nose sticking out from under my bed. He got his fat little but stuck under the bed - he can get in but can't get out. So at about 3am, I'm up, lifting my bed so fatty can crawl out LOL

I know! I was totally kicking myself when I was laughing about it this morning. I guess I was in too much of a tired stupor to think about it!

Yes, one of the rules of Corgi ownership is "As long as they are not in danger, get a picture!"
