I am sorry to report that my sister in-law who got a corgi ( Axel ) about one month after we got our Quin, is having trouble with her neighbor who is poisoning her dogs. One of the dogs who was a Boston terrier and belonged to her daughters boyfriend died and Axel was in very bad shape, he was vomiting blood and had blood in his urine. Terry has spent a lot of money at the vets, luckily she found the poisoned patties in the backyard and took them to the vet and the police I guess Axel was younger or didn't get as much poison as the other dog so he is recuperating it was rat poison and Tylenol. The Police have a special detective on the case they said the because one of the dogs died it is more serious and is treated differently then if they were poisoned and didn't die:( I hope they catch him throwing stuff over the fence or they wont be able to do anything. One of the neighbors (he works nights) had complained about the dogs barking and she started bringing the dogs in right away after they did their business the other neighbors have dogs also but apparently he has only poisoned hers. She went around to all the other neighbors to warn them. So now she has to go out in her own back yard which has a six foot block wall all the way around it and walk her dog on a leash and be on the look out for food and grab it away from her dog before he can woof it down.

So sorry to hear that Kari, makes my blood boiled! It is a good time to remind everyone, be a good neighbour, talk things over nicely, you just never know who lives next to you and what makes them snap. This is the second poisoning incident happened to our members :(

I hope that they catch that SOB. Things like that make me so angry. How could anyone do such a thing?! I hope to hear good news soon and little Axel has a speedy recovery. Absolutely get some cameras set up since they've done it more than once.

So sorry to hear that!   We live near a park and I often worry if I find food purposely left out.  Usually bread for birds but you just never know.

I hope the police get the person who's doing it.

O h no....I am so sorry. I don't understand how people can be so cruel. I just posted a thing on this awhile ago after finding knuckle bones in my back yard. Not poisoned thank God, but I have no idea what neighbor did it. We all have dogs so I'm sure it was meant as a treat for them, but how do you know? I'll say lots of prayers for Axel....hopefully he'll recover OK...

I cannot believe someone could do such a thing! I think that people who are capable of purposely hurting an animal must have something wrong with them. Don't get me wrong, I eat meat and everything. But this is so pointless.

that is soooo awful! I was going to ask about cameras. I hope the neighbor gets arrested and charged with felony charges! It also shows he knows what he is doing by using both rat poison and tylenol. That just makes me so mad!!! Glad to hear the police may set up cameras that would be awesome!
