I think I am the one who needs to go to training class. I think it should be called, new puppy owner class, cause we are the ones that need to know how to show our dogs what we want. I am sorry to report that my sister in-law who got a corgi ( Axel ) about one month after we got our Quin, is having trouble with her neighbor who is poisoning her dogs. One of the dogs who was a Boston terrier and belonged to her daughters boyfriend died and Axel was in very bad shape, he was vomiting blood and had blood in his urine. Ok, so now that we have narrowly dodged the bullet... I can talk about it. Nothing like closing the barn door after the horse has gotten out. Quin is almost a year old (Nov 5) and I am very excited. I think her attention span is finally where I can really start to rely on behaviors. Today we did a sit stay with distraction. I threw one of her favorite toys around and had her sit. She did really well. I watch Pamela Marxsen on youtube she is a very good trainer, she uses positive clicker training. My new dog sink is finally in. All of my friends think I am nuts for the way I treat my dog the way it is but when I told them I was tearing out the garden tub in my master bath to put in a dog washing sink.... They think I have lost it. My dog before Quin was a Shih Tzu and I left his hair long so there was a lot of grooming. He would start to smell doggy after about 2 weeks sometimes I would push it to 4 but not very often. I don't care for a bath myself.…

Hear is what happened. A case of Dr. Pepper was sitting on the floor, a piece of cat food was dropped and had landed in the box, so Quin was trying to get it out (of course) and she poked a can either with her tooth or with a nail. So DP is spraying all over and she is standing right in front of it and once she realized it tasted good she stayed there to lick it up. Now I have a dog full of DP…
