I wonder if this is what being a mom feels like.

I've gotta leave my babies for a whole week and just realized I wrote 2 pages worth of doggy directions for the sitter =x I'm also afraid that while I'm gone I'm gonna end up calling like once a night to check on them but unlike the overbearing mother, I can't expect my babies to talk back on the phone. It's amazing how many offers you get from friends and family when looking for a puppy (in my case, puppies) sitter but NO ONE is ever willing to watch a cat. Even a giant docile lovable one like my Cthulhu kitty. So tomorrow he's going to a kennel for the week =/ I know the pups will be in great hands though since they'll be staying with a friend who's also a dog trainer/dog lover.

I love how your kitty is named Cthulhu! I don't suppose he was found roaming the halls at Miskatonic U? He he.
Have a great trip...I always feel horrible when I leave my pups at the kennel, and I'm so happy when I pick them up again.

Just got back from 4 days away from my two girls. I have the BEST friends/family in the world who take time from their busy lives to come over and love on my girls. They take turns and have a whole schedule worked out. I've made up a chart system for them to check off pees, and poops and feedings. There is also a comment section for any misbehavings or cute stories.

I am always a wreck when I have to leave them and call frequently. With three dogs and two cats I have someone stay at the house with them. So far I have been able to hire people from the vet's office or students (college) of my neighbors (he is a professor). Everyone is happier and it is less expensive. Unfortunately the people that will take care of your animals usually have pets and the friends that don't really do not want them! Have a good vacation and try not to worry!

Maybe if he wasn't named Cthulhu you'd have an easier time. lol. Guess he'll ave to go back to R'lyeh for the week. Have a great trip, I'm sure your puppies will have lots of fun while you're gone. The cat, however, has no guarantees.

Sounds like they'll have a great week. I think it is harder on us than the dogs! I believe most of us would be checking in on a nightly basis to make sure our little ones are doing fine! Good luck with the corgi withdrawl!

Its hard to leave them and they r always on our minds=) since I don't have kids I consider them as my fur kids. I know them very well lol
