Thank you all. She is 15 1/2 so she has lived a long happy life and been everywhere with the family so I know she's gotten all the love she could. I'm back to work now waiting for word from my mom. I will let her know we are in the thoughts of an awesome little community. Dad stayed home today to help take her to the vet. Because I know how good her life has been, I'm accepting the fact pretty well. Just wish I would have lived close enough to say a final goodbye. Thanks again for the kind words.

We just lost Winston two weeks ago so we know how you're feeling.  It's so very hard saying goodbye, but when you know it's time and you want the very best for Hershi, you can at least know that you love her so much, and that's what your whole relationship has been about.   If you could ask yourself when would be a better time, there just isn't one.  Time will help and I'm so glad you can be with her and love her before she goes.  We all love our pets so much and everything about having them is wonderful except when they have to go.  Enjoy all of the time you have.  God bless you.

Hope that Hershi goes peacefully and tell your Mom that the corgi community is sending positive vibes for her too. I am struggling with this decision myself right now so can identify with your situation.

HI Emily, it is never easy to say good-bye.  I do pray that Hershi is comfortable, and it sounds like she is lucky to have a family like yours. Hopefully the good memories will help ease the pain of this difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear this. Losing a pet is so hard. :-( Keep your memories close to your heart and she will never truly be gone. Come to us if you need support or advice. With so many experienced members on the site, our loves and losses make us stronger together.
