I often think after Bear and Goldy get a drink that perhaps a Saint Bernard has snuck into my kitchen.

Both of them stick their whole nose in the bowl, drink and then with a half-full mouth of water pull their heads away from the bowl and dribble water a good foot away from the bowl!

I thought it was just Bear originally, but either all Corgis are sloppy drinkers or Bear taught Goldy his bad habit.

Sincerely,

Steph with Soggy Feet

My mom always jokes that Algy has 'lazy lip". They do seem to be sloppy drinkers!

Two Knee-High Herders that drink like they are out in a puddle or at the creek! Not so great on my hardwood floors! Still love em tho!

Corgis are certainly sloppy drinkers, in order to prevent mopping my floor everyday, I use the drinking bottle:

Ah, yes, my Gonzo does this too. I learned to wear slippers with an actual sole on them ;o)

Didi and Reagan drink quietly but every once in awhile they'll realize that bowl water is fun. They'll put their whole face in and blow bubbles, then scramble away from the bowl. If they don't overturn it (usually they do) they sling water from their face everywhere. Now they have a heavy duty tank-water bowl with a rubber bottom, on tile floor. Silly puppies.

Steve's fur around the mouth seems to absorb more water than what he drinks and he leaves a trail as he walks away. Turtle on the other hand licks around his mouth before walking away from the bowl.

Mine does this too- dribbles water everywhere, blows bubbles or drinks too fast and spends the next few seconds coughing.

Both of mine do this, and one of them isn't even a Corgi!! My cat is the only neat drinker around here!

My corgis are not messy but the doberman is. When Sparty was a puppy, he loved to splash in the water but he out grew it.

Lance is the sloppiest drinker ever, he drinks his water nicely, but then walks away dripping water everywhere and lately its been a ring of water under his water bowl!
