I turned the hose on to see what he would do, and serves me right. He started digging and rolling in the mud. Geeze. I hosed him down and got most of the mud off him. Now he smells like wet dog, blech! He's getting a bath Monday, and nails trimmed, and coat blown out...~ Otherwise I'd chuck him in the bathtub and we'd have our first bath encounter together. Haha.
He came home Sunday night after visiting for three days, a few hours at a time. My cats were none too happy and neither was he, really. Now that he's been here 5 days, he's definitely warming up to our routine. I've taken him to the beach, the pet store, the ice cream shop, and my friend's house. He needs to get used to the car and going different places because, well, we have a 6 hour drive ahead of him a few times this summer. My whole family is absolutely in love with him, especially my sister, which surprised me because she's afraid of dogs usually.
We've been wearing one another out. Last night, we both went to bed at 9 after a 30 min fetch-fest on the softball field. He's sleeping now, too! We're having lots of fun and he's definitely brightened up my life.
