Has anyone found a durable chew toy that lasts a long time? Sam destroys just about every toy that I give her haha. I have a few balls that seem to be indestructable but I'm looking specifically for a chew toy that will last a long time.  I have a Kong but she got tired of that (plus she is not allowed extra treats for the moment because she needs to lose a few pounds).  We had a Wubba (made by Kong) that I thought would last for awhile but she ripped it open pretty quickly--at least we got a nice ball out of that one! Does anyone have any suggestions for a good, durable toy?

I bought a toy that I thought was a Kong toy, but the dogs ripped it apart. Turns out it was a different brand, and vanilla flavored!! Why flavor a chew toy? That's like flavoring a tennis ball!

Antlers are the best thing we've found so far, cheapest on Amazon.

Definitely try the antlers. My dogs prefer the ones that are cut in half and I usually buy them on etsy. One we have now is an elk antler cut in half that is about 8" long, and heavy enough that I've stubbed my toe on it. It will definitely last a while.

These are the sellers I've bought from:

@ Julia I always thought it was weird that the Planet Dog Orbee balls are minty scented! I guess maybe it would help dogs that aren't that toy motivated? It just makes Henry want to eat it lol.

I heard quite the opposite of the nylabones.  The material there made with is softer than the dogs teeth and thats why they make good chews without wearing there teeth down.

Po destroys EVERYTHING and so far the only toys that have lasted is his Nylabone, though its 'Tasty Bone' brand-mmm...liver! And his toys from Orca- he has the jack (stuff treats in it and watch your Corgi lie back and chew :)  ) and the ball with the rope (though the rope was dead after 5 minutes, its now just a ball). Other than that he has a cheap tyre toy that has lasted over a year but is starting to die, and balls that he only gets to play with when we're actively playing fetch. I've heard the Planet Dog toys are good too.

Here's the website for the Orka products. http://www.petstages.com/dogs-orka-menu.html Po has had his for years and they are still standing, though I have heard from someone else on this website that their Corgi destroyed one. You really just have to get the tough ones, not the fabric ones which will be dead in a minute.

Gromit is a powerful chewer.  He demolished and swallowed a Nylabone and got sick so we won't give those anymore.  Large rawhide knots big enough that he can't get them too far into his mouth last pretty well.  Think "German Shepherd" size. Antlers seem to last pretty well but his favorite is cow hooves.  The only problem with those is some types will get pretty smelly when they are wet and some don't.  I still haven't figured out which is which when I buy them.
Check out Westpaw. They are tough and if they are destroyed just take them back to your local pet shop and they will replace them.

Our corgi is the same way he goes through chew toys like nothing. I've found that the raw hide knuckles (looks like a big bone from a cow or something) work best for our little guy. He has a really strong jaw and goes through regular bones in a day but this one takes him a couple weeks if not more. Its got like the kong treat filling in it and it keeps him busy all day long working at it. You can find them at petco (probably petsmart as well but i dont know because ive never been to one). And they are relatively cheap.
Thanks everyone! I'm going to check out westpaw and orka...I forgot Sam does have an orka toy that she destroyed the ropes from...I think ill try the tire
Dexter loves the Galileo Nylabone (wolf size) and Antlers. The antlers only last a few days to a few weeks max. The Galileo bone is still staying strong.
We have a hard rubber dumbbell with a rope through it made by four paws.  I had gotten a four paws Crunch & Crackle which is made from an old firehose (I think) and Corky put a good size gash in it in 1/2 an hour (or less).  So four paws replaced it with this rope toy.  He's had it about a week and hasn't done too much damage.  I have to trim the rope so he doesn't eat it.  We also got him a $4 basketball which he will herd around the yard (might help with the weight loss goal too).  He can't get his mouth around it so he hasn't eaten it yet.
Antlers, black kong balls, and shank bones boiled from the butcher and cleaned off. They pass the bones around and weve had them since Nov. It looks like you live in a cave with wolves, having antlers and bones lying around but they last! I never would have imagined what jaws Corgis have on them! My daughter has to hide her dog's toys when Corky comes over or he destroys all the squeaky stuffed animal toys she has!
