Hey everyone....
So after visiting the Phoenix,AZ pet expo, I filled out an app to become a proud owner of a corgi from the cactus corgi rescue...if everything goes as planned and she is officially part of the family, my one question is, should I worry about cropping her tail, or let it go? She has a really long tail, which doesn't bother me, but everyone I've talked to says crop it, although since she's already 2 yrs old, I don't wanna put her through that if I don't have to...any opinions?

Potus has his tail- its illegal to dock them here in Australia. Keep the tail! It is so cute, especially when they fall asleep and their tails wags like mad! Embrace the tail :)
Congratulations on your impending adoption. You're starting a great adventure. Vicki Combs, who runs Arizona Cactus Corgi Rescue is "aces" in my book. I know you'll always be able to turn to her for advice. Of course MyCorgi is a great source too.
As for the tail, I'm with the others, leave it be. I like the traditional docked look of a Pembroke but it's great fun to see them with their lovely natural tail also. Be sure to post pictures when you get your new friend home!
If you are good with it; I wouldn't worry what other people say.
Keep her tail. . :-)© 2024 Created by Sam Tsang. Powered by
