I noticed about a a couple months back that ringo kept biting is right back paw because i guess it was itchy. But i thought nothing of it. But about last month i saw his paw it all of his hair on the outer side of his foot was gone. And the skin on his foot was completely red and was moist with mucus...and whatever was the liquidy that was covering it.
So what i did was was put antibiotic on the wound, then i wrapped it. And now his skin is back to normal, and hair is growing back verry verry slowly. Im not sure if hes still itching it because whenever i go to get him out of his crate in the morning his wrap is all torn up, but i see him majority of the day and he never itches his foot anymore. So I'm wondering what I should do. Should i keep doing what I'm doing? or should I take him to the vet.
