I Feel So Bad.... UPDATED

I really wish we could fast forward the next two weeks and have Lance back to feeling 100 percent again.

His ears are really red and sore, feel so bad, just want to make it go away now!! He is on Clavamox, benedryl and ear ointment for two weeks, just seems like a long time to be on an antibiotic and benedryl. If he needs it, he needs it, but I am not one for taking meds unless its a necessity.

UPDATE: I just noticed the inside of Lances left ears is a bit swollen. I called the vets office and the vet tech said it sounds like an ear hemotoma, where the blood and fluids build up from shaking the ears when having an ear infection. So, on Friday afternoon, he will go in to get it drained and hopefully that will do the trick as I was told sometimes they can reappear. :(

Eep, that sucks about the hematoma. Henry had a tiny one when he was young but thankfully it went down on its own and didn't need draining. I hope Lance is feeling better soon!

The swelling went down within a day. We did take him to the vet though, we were so worried. It sucks when they're hurting!

Yes it does! Really is a bummer that Lance and Tucker can't play right now either, and am assuming next week either since I would think Lances ear will need time to heal. I know Tucker wanted to play the other day and tried and Lance told him, I dont think so buddy. I love watching them play, so much fun, I miss it!!!

Glad that Henry's went down on its own.

I haven't, but my friend's dog Buddy got one and it plagued him for months. They did an ear surgery to stop it from coming back, and it still came back. Then the other ear became affected too. He was battling cancer at the time (unbeknownst to us) and that may have really complicated recovery, though.
