Punctured Mouth/Split Lip...Treatment Advice Please!! Updated

Well, I had two bowls of crushed ice and set them down for the boys to eat.  Apparently, they both wanted to eat out of the same bowl and neither one was happy about, so it started a fight.  I got them seperated and notice that Tucker kept licking his mouth, come to find out his tooth went through his mouth and left a puncture in his mouth.  I was able to get the tooth out of his mouth. Do I clean it with hydrogen peroxide?

I then looked over  Lance and noticed that his bottom lip, the skin is ripped a bit, will it heal on its own, is it a big deal?

Your thoughts are appreciated.  Thanks.

Edit:  Pictures added.  First picture is of Lances split lip. The other two pics are of Tuckers mouth, the

outside.  It looks swollen and maybe a bit red?  Do I just give it time to heal?

Update:

Back from the vet and the puncture wound is infected and already closed up.  Clavamox for 10 days it is.  Tucker is a squirmy worm, doesn't like to be confined when cutting nails, trimming the fur on his paw pads and now at the vet.  Tucker squirmed so much making it impossible for the vet to get his temperature, we tried for a bit and then gave up.  So, Tucker got an antibiotic injection since we couldn't get his temp. You know you are spending alot of money at the vet lately when the receptionist asks if I want to pay half the bill!!!!  141.00 for todays visit:  52.00 for the exam, 32.00 for the Antibiotic injection and 57.00  for the Clavamox.  We will be back with Lance on Saturday for his 2nd 3 week check up and then two weeks later for Tuckers scheduled appt. for heartworm testing and then two weeks after that is due for his Rabies and Dhlpp booster, ahh, the joy of two dogs.  :)

The vet ordered some mouth wash for Lances split lip, hopefully that isn't too expensive, gulp.  We need to be very careful what we use with him, so we don't flare up his immune issues.

On the way into the vet Tucker was oooh'd and aaaaah'd over by an older couple.  Too bad we didnt have longer to talk as we got there right on time.  Tucker did get petted for a few minutes before we went in, but had to cut it short, he loved every minute of it.

I didn't even think the crushed ice in  bowls would be a problem, I feed their meals seperately, because I knew we would have issues with that but ice, wow!  Now that I look back, I bet they thought it was food, since it was kinda of near dinner time.  :(   Won't make this mistake again, would have been nice not to make it at all.

The puncture wound will probably be OK, as long as it's not a gash, just a tiny hole.  Watch for signs of infection, as the mouth is full of bacteria.

The other laceration will probably need to be sewn if the skin is hanging, but there is a limited amount of time to do it in.  Best check with the vet.  If you had pictures I could give you more of an idea...:-)

The tooth almost went all the way through the mouth!!  It doesnt look too bad on the inside, I don't think.  You can see a little blood from the outside of the mouth, but it isn't bleeding.  Tuckers mouth from the outside doesnt look punctured either.

The skin is not hanging, it just looks like a V.

Thanks for your response.

Sometimes it's hard to be so vigilant! You just don't know what some weird thing could "set them off". Peroxide will not hurt for either of them,if you want to wash them. Just watch for any redness or swelling! Good luck! LikeJennifer said if Lance's is hanging it may require stitches.
I actually would be much more worried about the puncture than the gash. The gash will heal on its own and since from the picture it doesn't look to be THAT big it should be fine. Also, you can't really stitch that area bc the dog would continually bother it. As for the puncture, punctures are much more dangerous than lacerations because the bacteria gets trapped down in the hole. I would recommend hot compressing the area a couple of times a day with a warm washcloth. If you notice any heat, redness, or swelling get him to the vet, as an abscess is likely forming. Hot compressing should keep a scab from forming over the area, which will allow it to continue to drain should an infection begin to develop. If you do decide to use peroxide make sure to dilute it bc straight peroxide can kill healthy tissue. Also don't rinse inside the mouth with peroxide bc it foams and bubbles so much it may cause the dog to vomit.
Okay, I did the warm compress twice today, Tucker isn't a big fan of it though :(  Heres hoping he will heal ok without a vet visit.  Of course if he needs to go, I will take him.

Gosh Natalie you are having some corg troubles, bless your heart for loving both of them so much and not giving up.

So sorry to hear the boys are at it again! Lance's tear looks like it will heal up fine on its own. On Tucker if there is an actual punture hole I would use a syringe if you have one and try to flush the hole out a few times a day with a saline solution or diluted peroxide. You want to try to keep the hole clean so it will heal from the inside out.
I second Beth's suggestion, get well soon boys!
just got back from the vets Sam, updated above ^^  :)
ouch.... glad to hear they are doing okay. Mocha and Vienna have always drink out of the same bowl / feeder, for some odd reason Mocha decided not to share with V during our last camping trip, no injuries but we had to give them more space to drink now. They've been together for 7 years and not an incident before....
Wow, see you just never know.  They both share water out of the same bowl just fine, so hopefully that will stay that way !!  I watch them with toys as I know sometimes that can be something to start a fight, so far so good with the toys.
