For a place that we hardly used to see, we surely are seeing it quite a bit these days!!!  As we get out of the car, and try and head into the vets office, Lance is going the other direction, thinking, they aren't getting me in there!  I nicely but firmly said come on, Lance.  He immediately stopped pulling, and as we approach the door, is now going as fast as he can through the door, lol!!!   What a silly dog, he hops up on the scale, so they can record his weight and he just plops himself down on the scale, and lays there.  :)

The inside of Lances ears are looking good except his right ear has a yeast infection and he has conjuctivitis in his eyes, so a slight set back, hopefully these both will go away after treatment of the ear and eye drops twice a day for the next 10 days.  The vet lowered the dose of predisone, so he now only gets a half a tablet once a day of that along with his other meds.  I am so looking forward to him getting off all of his meds, but especially the predisone.  I know he can't help it but the accidents in the house are getting old and the excessive amounts of time being let outside to avoid the accidents in the house is also getting old.  The little things that are so easily taken for granted!!!

Yay, for the cooler weather, says Lance, finally can get out for walks again!!!

The highlight of our vet visit was at the end, a lady came in and knew Lance was a corgi.  :)  Even with his ears down, she knew.

The picture of the statue down below reminds me of how Lance looks when he is really concentrating on something, one ear goes up and the other stays down!!  My father in law gave us this statue this week as they sold the house they lived in for 50 years!!

Best wishes to you all, it gets harder before it gets easier but keep the fight going.
Thanks this is true, just hope we can get him off these meds!!
We hope you keep getting better Lance...we know all about yeast in ears (try 6 corgis all at once) and how tough that can be...love your new statue:)

do they get the yeast down in the ear or just the ear itself, lance has it in just the ear itself, not down in the ear.

Glad to hear that Lance is getting better. Yes once he's off the predisone he should be able to hold his pee and get back to normal. If you remember Rugby my oldest tri was diagnosed with the same condition. He's had a hard week this week. I came home on Tuesday and Rugby couldn't open his right eye and was squinting out of his left. There were some major fires out in the Everglades so I thought maybe he was having a reaction to all the smoke and ash in the air. I waited a day to see if he improved but unfortunately he did not. I took him to the vet only to find out that he has a major ulcer in his right eye. Well he's now getting medicine in his eyes three time a day and hopefully he gets better!

Thanks Tim!  Oh no, poor Rugby!!  Im so sorry, hope his eye gets better.  When the vet saw Lance had conjunctivitis, his response, Lance truly is an inflammatory dog. I hope Rugby and Lance don't have to go through too much more with this disease, thats the thing, you just never know where its going to go next. :(

Please keep us update how Rugby does with the eye drops, how long is he on the drops for?

Well, you know we all adore Lance...and Tucker, too!  So glad he's doing better overall.  He's just the most awesome poopster.

Thanks Ellen. :)  Lance is sending lots of kisses and licks your way....and Tucker says Arooooo!

It's too bad Algy isn't stll alive.  He went to the Vet at least once a week, and loved it, loved it, loved it!  He would run into the office, wiggle for the girls working the ddesk, and when they took him back for his tests, he would run back to the lab and lift his chin so they could take the blood from his neck.  But porr Lance!!  It can be a real battle when they don't  like to go into that place!  That picture of Lance and the statue is cute.  They do kida look alike - at least the pose - Lance's fsr ear is down.  :)  Hugs to the boys!!!  And tell Lance to channel Algy for the Vet visit...or rather, I will ask Algy to visit Lance and have a talking to!

Hi Joanna,

The thing with Lance is, he puts the brakes on as soon as I get him out of the car and then by the time he gets to the door he acts like he can't get through the door fast enough, lol, silly boy!!!  The ear that will stand up on Lance is actually the opposite one of the statue, but he really has to be concentrating for it to stand up!!

Yes, I bet Lance would enjoy a talking to from Algy.  :)

That IS funny.  You are right, Lance IS a silly boy!  :).  My mom used to call Algy The Lumpus when he would do things like that - mostly on walks.  It makes you look like the bad guy...until you get to the door, of course.  I hope Lance is feeling better soon, or I'll take right now!  He's too pretty to be sick.  But don't tell him I said that...boys don't like to be called pretty...unless you're Boy George!

Wish you a speedy recovering Lance, your a trooper. Natalie hang in there, your doin great with all your love and nurturing for your fur kids.I don't think we would have it any other way, but to take care of our loved ones when they are in need. Your great.
