Regurgitating meals...is he ok?

Tonight Brick regurgitated a pile of kibble about 3 hours after he ate. He's done this once before in the two weeks I've had him, both times it was at night after he had fallen asleep. He's 14 weeks old. We're slowly switching him to a new food, and when he eats he eats FAST! He gets two meals per day. Tonight, he also drank a lot of water. He is high energy and doesn't seem sick, but I'm concerned...it doesn't seem right that kibble is falling out of his esophagus 3 hours after his meal, shouldn't it have made it to his stomach by then? Or did he just eat way too much for his tummy to handle? I'm kind of freaking out about megaesophagus after some internet research...any experiences or advice?

Harrison did this the other day as well, it was only 10-20 mins after he ate though. My reasoning was that he had ate too much too fast. Plus, alot of water didn't help the situation. So NOW when we feed him (twice a day as well) we only give him about half the amount and add a little water to make it softer. After he's done with half, we give him the other half of his kibble in the same fashion.

We recently switched his kibble and took him off wet food to just dry. He happens to love the kibble so I think he was just woofing it down. Its been a week or two since he regurgitated his food, and you can tell he eats his food alittle slower and takes the time to chew it now. lol :)

How much kibble does he get at a time? I would try wetting his food with a little water and getting a slow-feed bowl. I think you could even just put a large rock or heavy ball in the middle of his bowl too. You want something that he has to work around in order to get the kibble. I've only known of one corgi with megaesophagus and that puppy was throwing up constantly. I wouldn't worry too much at this point, puppies puke once in a while.

I've been there before.1. He could be starting to teeth and then he might be swallowing the kibbles whole...add water and let sit for about 5 minutes. I do this with 3 of my adults as they don't drink enough water sometimes and this does help. 2. How fast have you been switching? How much is he getting at one time and can you feed him 3 x's instead of 2? I would experiment with the warm water 1st. Good luck and know that others have been there:)

Thanks all! For the last few days I've been soaking his food and feeding him a little bit less at a time, and it seems to be helping.

Gee this site is crazy! I keep learning about more and more things that I never would have learned about otherwise.. I hope Brick gets all the way better soon:)
