Hey all. Decided to share what I'm going to get Napolean and I'm wondering what everyone else has to offer to their corgis. After all, it is the treats and toys which brings a corgi closer! Just bought Napolean a big Wubba toy, which I guarantee will end the hearing of all our fello neighbors and family. Now may I ask, what have you got in store for your corgi this year?

I got Frank a wubba too! He always steals my friends' dogs' wubbas so I he finally gets one of his own! He also gets a doggie stocking full of toys from the pet store. We usually don't feed or do treats any different on Christmas, they just get a years supply of toys to destroy! Lol.

Yuki and Ellie are each getting a new Kong (they destroyed the last ones...) and their own bags of corn- and wheat-free Healthy Edibles.

I had briefly thought about buying them a new Wubba or a soft squeaky toy, but they both destroy anything I give them that is made of cloth.  The Wubba I gave them was shredded and the tennis ball-like center exposed within 15 minutes.  I even tried a turtle-shaped Tuffy, but Ellie had chewed off the tail, ripped open the head and removed the stuffing within 2 hours.  So much for "tough" dog toys.  ;)  They can't even stand up to a 7-month-old puppy!  I may try one more Tuffy, though, before giving up on soft toys entirely.

I know exactly how you feel! Thank goodness Napolean hasn't found out ripping the fuzz off tennis balls is fun. This Wubba toy can only be distributed out on playing occasions. We have to take the toy away when we leave the room, otherwise he'll be having a ripping party all by himself! Luckily our last Wubba toy lasted quite a while, but then again he was still a puppy then....Well wish you luck on the toys for Christmas! I hope the Tuffy lasts a good amount of time ;)

Baron's getting a deer antler and pet stairs so he can get his little legs up on my recliner.  I got him a wubba last year and he destroyed it.

Special cut beef bones from the butcher shop. Plus a few toys and other not necessary items:)

Thanks Michael!

Taylor is one lucky dog.I have only given knuckle bone but may try some others. What is the Canon bone? I order from the butcher because they are closer and I guess I'm not sure if the supermarket actually gets the hanging beef. I actually had to wait last year for the bone as I guess many people are doing this. Mine get them for an hour or 2 and then I refreeze them for another day.

I know in horses that the cannon is the long bone between the knee and fetlock.   I'm assuming it's the same in cows.

As a weight-bearing bone, it would be very hard.

Don't we all get unnecessary items :) I mean it's impossible to ignore a corgi's face!

My husband and I went Christmas shopping for Noodles this past Saturday. So Noodles gets a whole box of jumbones (he loves those and knows he only gets them for his birthday or Christmas). The box is NOT wrapped or else he would be eating all of them. We do take 1 out of the package and wrap it in wrapping paper Christmas morning. Then we watch him play with it while getting the wrapping paper off and then he eats the jumbone (which we call JB or else he knows what we are talking about). His little nub doesn't stop shaking the whole time. Noodles also got a new Kong toy that is a squeaky ring. He loves squeaky toys and rings, so this is the best of both worlds. Who knows how quickly he will kill this toy. We also got him some wet food as a treat as well (he normally eats dry with either green beans or pumpkin). It is just so much fun watching him open his presents. I can't wait for Christmas!

Me neither! When it comes to toys, it is the thought that counts and not the amount of time it lasts! Napolean can't help but sniff at his present under the tree (twice I caught him in attempt to tear it open).

I have found that if you cut the jumbone into quarters and stuff them in a medium sized kong it takes A LOT of time for Franklin to get the treat out and eat them. The jumbone is essentially pure sugar so Frank doesn't tolerate eating the whole thing at once, plus the package lasts so much longer when I quarter or 1/3 them to stuff in the kong. Its a very tight fit and hard to get in, which means its hard for him to get out!

Under the tree, (for both):  a new kong ball (the kind that you can roll around and it dispenses treats.)

In the stockings:  Hermione: new loofa dog with FIVE squeakers!

                          Luna:  a new rope tug-toy.

(my daughter sewed all the furbaby stockings herself!)
